If I had to do it again, I’m honestly not sure that I would, given how stressful it was, but I was glad to have Marcia helping me through the 6 month process. She has the patience of a saint. If not for her reassurances and gentle nudging, I probably still wouldn’t have a house. Most of the single family homes in my price range were older and had fairly major problems. I relied on Marcia’s expertise to understand the scope of the potential and existing problems and how I should factor them into my offers. When it was clear that I was not finding anything in the neighborhoods I was interested in originally, Marcia suggested looking in other neighborhoods. I ended up buying in a great part of Palatine and was able to stay within my initial budget.
